Job Description 

ITTM (Information Technology for Translational Medicine) S.A. is a young and dynamic european company which is specialised in data integration and knowledge management. We are seeking to employ an enthusiastic software engineer to leading a role in our digital health team in close collaboration with our industry and clinical partners. We want you to play an active role in the advancement of Health IT solutions in projects like IMI OPTIMA and IHI IDERHA and be part of an agile team delivering high quality services with many development options.

Your role:

• You will contribute to the design of applications and integration of services with the existing data-centric infrastructures.
• You will be a key actor of continuous improvement and innovation within ITTM, focusing on the software development process, internal data flows and tooling. You will be part of the agile software development team.

Your responsibility:

• Active and responsible contributor for innovative software projects.
• Integrate data from various back-end services and databases.
• Develop software applications, innovate on existing web services and ITTM’s digital offerings to identify new digital products by transforming software designs and specifications into high functioning code in the appropriate programming language.
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.

Requirements and technical competencies:

• Ideal candidate will be a full stack developer, comfortable working with a PC and Linux/Unix environment.
• Very strong programming skills using high level programming languages are required. Preferred programming languages include Python, Julia, PHP, JavaScript/Vue.js, C, or C++.
• Working knowledge of security- and privacy-by-design principles
• Experience with containerization, knowledge of SQL, and familiarity in Linux/Unix systems administration is desirable.
• Experience building interactive web-based portals, developing REST APIs, manipulation of structured data is highly desirable.
• Expercience with standard data formats such as FHIR, HL7 etc is an adavantage.
• Having strong interpersonal skills, ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and manage time efficiently.
• Autonomous, solution-oriented, attentive to details, ambitious and curious
• Master’s degree required (PhD is preferred) in a scientific or technological discipline related to computer science, information technology or computing.
• Languages: English (fluent) and one of French, German and/or Luxembourgish will be an asset
